I really like the glow going on with the cockpit and his eyes, it really gives a feeling of life with a body made of metal. The technical parts look really good, especially the detail on the head and arms. My only complaint is that the leg connections and arm joints aren't as detailed as the rest of him, making it all look a little bit like armor and less it being his actual flesh. He looks really cool, and I like what you've done with his design!

HeartisttheArtist responds:

Thank you! My main influence was his appearance in Bumblebee (2018), with his colors and tank bits coming from his other incarnations.
On one hand, I’d argue that technically all of him is armor, being that he’s a robot and all, and that having covers over your joints would prevent them getting things stuck in them. A lot of modern Transformer designs have metal tubes of sorts, shaped so that they make limbs look more humanoid. But on the other hand, you do have a good point. I shouldn’t gone with either a fully smooth or a fully mechanical design, rather than trying to meet them both halfway.
That being said, thank you very much for not only being willing to point out my shortcomings, but for being constructive about it! I know I’m ranting, but it means a lot to me, and I wanted to take the time to say it.

I really like this crossover! Alexandrite really does look like an Eva.

HeartisttheArtist responds:

She definitely has some Evangelion elements to her, especially her freaky second mouth. This design is more like an Eva dressed up as Alexandrite, but it was still really fun to combine elements of each design together!

...Please tell me that joke doesn't mean what I think it means. She's too cute for that!

For being in black and white, I think you colored her well! The shading along with grey scaling the colors is a skill that takes a good eye for colors. At least I hope it does, cause otherwise this would just sound like a silly comment.

HeartisttheArtist responds:

I will neither confirm nor deny what happens to her.

Shading in black and white isn't that difficult, I just need to make sure I'm not using just one shade of grey.

Its the Judge from a Batman cartoon, just don't remember which one. The detail put into the chains is really nice. I know I wouldn't have the patience to draw all those individual rectangles.

HeartisttheArtist responds:

I almost didn't have the patience lol

Now I'm just waiting for blood to start dripping and that would make it a real Kirby boss.

Still very visually distinct despite the simple shape!

HeartisttheArtist responds:

What is it with Kirby bosses and being unholy eldritch nightmare beings?

Lemme just uh, steal this for a reaction folder.

HeartisttheArtist responds:

*snap* That's going in my reaction folder.

To be honest, I have a hard time seeing how the glowing stuff is a lion, but that's just my feeble monkey brain not comprehending it all.
Other than that, the left hand looks kinda robotic, like the thumb is disconnected from the rest of the hand. I think if you made the bit between the thumb and the rest of the fingers flatter, and/or shift the thumb down a little bit it would look cleaner. I dunno though. Just a suggestion.

HeartisttheArtist responds:

Hey, thank you for being honest! I wish I'd managed my time better, and not rushed this piece. Again, thank you for the constructive criticism!

Just a person who may eventually write something someday.
